Speakers Contest & Other Awards

The District Executive would like to encourage all clubs to host their own speakers contest, and thereby send a contestant to your Spring Zone Meeting. Each speech must be between 5 & 10 minutes long, with content of interest to Kin &/or related to Kin in some way. See the National website under awards for further criteria.
We would also like more clubs to write up their great service projects as submissions for the Kinsmen and Kinette Service Awards. Deadline is April 30 to the District Communications Director, Kathy Maxon.
Check out the many other awards and their criteria on this webisite in the Library in our D2 House Rules. Consider entering for these awards: bulletin, public relations, travel, or website.
Other National awards include: photography, Kin Pride, CF event award (Bill Skelly), master club, Quill writing award, Maple Leaf for new members, or Founder's for member of more than two years. Check these out on the Kin Canada link under Awards.
Any one of these could be just what your members need for inspiration or motivation! Good Luck.

| Bathurst High School Tragedy |

We have learned Daniel Hains, 17, who died in the motor vehicle accident last week in Bathurst, New Brunswick, is the son of former Bathurst Kinsmen Allan Hains and his wife Isabelle. Please keep the Haines family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
