| Kinsmen Vice-Governor - Rob Kozak (Kinsmen Club of The Pas) |

I joined the family of Kin in 1992, when I moved to Swan River (from Winnipeg where I’d been for 10 years working and pursuing an education). It was an excellent way to get to know a dozen guys in a hurry and it gave me an opportunity to so something positive for the community.
With the Swan River Kinsmen, I served Zone 7 in the capacity of Deputy Governor, which led to an early highlight in my Kin career: receiving the Keith Large Award for Outstanding Kinsmen D.G. | Kinette Vice-Governor - Barb Thomson (Kinette Club of Thunder Bay) |
|
|
Barbara lives in Thunder Bay, Ontario, with her K-40 husband Bob. Barb joined Kinettes in 1969, my goodness 37 years ago and has enjoyed many wonderful times in Kin and seen many positive changes in our association. Barbara and Bob have three adult daughters, aged 35, 32 (a Kinette), and 29 (a Kinette). She is a member of the Thunder Bay Fort City Kinettes, and has belonged to Hill City and the Fort Frances Kinettes. Barbara, who also likes her nickname Cookie (a story there somewhere), has served District 2 as a ZKC, a DG, Membership Director, Service Director, and at the national level elected Kin-CF Liaison Chair for 2003-2005. Barbara is an honoured Life Member of our Association since 1983, an honour that has brought her great pride.
At the club level, Barbara has held all club offices except treasurer and enjoys being Bulletin Editor. She has been District 2’s Senior and Junior Bulletin award winner several times. She was the first woman chair of the Kinsmen Mother’s Day Cystic Fibrosis Telethon in Thunder Bay in 1997. She was a District speaker and spoke
