District 2 Executive Members
Kinsmen Governor - Sid Braybrook (Kinsmen Club of Boissevain)

Sid lives in Boissevain, Manitoba with his beautiful wife. Their six children have all finished high school but some haven’t decided if they are finished secondary education. Their oldest daughter and son-in-law have blessed them with two children, with the youngest born two years ago while Sid was enjoying District Convention “Let’s Party in the Park 2” (he had to leave early).

As Assistant Manager/Sales Manager for a company in Boissevain, Sid oversees the operations of a glulam manufacturing plant (glulam products included the huge wood beams often seen in large structures such as churches and schools). He is responsible for marketing in North America and estimating, drafting, supervision, production coordination and assisting in management of a staff of forty-five employees.

Sid’s responsibilities this past year serving as co-vice governor of the District have been a tremendous learning curve. Working with a partner as efficient and dedicated as Colleen Moman keeps him on his toes. Colleen is fantastic to work with as she is extremely hard working. Sid cannot express how fortunate we are to have her as a member of Kin and thanks Colleen for ...

Kinette Governor - Colleen Moman (Kinette Club of Brandon)

On the personal side of things, Colleen is the proud mother of three and the very fortunate wife of one. John and Colleen have a 14, 10, & 6 year old who are all very active Kin Kids, and who have travelled to National Kinventions in St. John's, Calgary, and Whitehorse. Besides her chauffeur duties, Colleen is a half time Business/Technology teacher at a high school in Brandon, and runs the home office of the family business - which keeps John busy running around the province installing and maintaining large truck scales.

Colleen’s proudest Kin moments were co-chairing the PERK Up Kin Canada Campaign with husband John, which saw Dave Perkins elected as Kin Canada National Vice President 2005/6, presenting her speech at the 2005 National Kinvention in Newfoundland, then bringing the banner home to District Two, and now being given the opportunity to lead with the true Energizer bunny himself, with the most altruistic “orange/gold” personality ever, her good friend Sid Braybrook as Governor in District Two.

Colleen has four years of District Council experience. Besides this past Vice Governor year with Governors Coleen and Brad, she was District ...

Financial Director - Bradley Peters (Kinsmen Club of Boissevain)

Bradley has lived all his life in South-western Manitoba. He graduated high school at Boissevain Collegiate and went on to Providence College. During his course of education there, he decided to change his major to “no secondary education”.

Not to let that slow him down, he has worked and volunteered countless hours at the Boissevain & Morton Library. His non-certified secondary education in computer technology was completed during this time. His education didn’t stop there either. His friends asked him to join them in volunteering to run the local Theatre. Several years later, they left and he ran the theatre from October to April every Friday and Saturday nights, overseeing the projection equipment, supervising volunteer canteen attendants, and performing cash out duties each night.

Bradley’s daytime job is presently at a local manufacturing company as a drafting technician/computer guru. For those that know, that means he works with Sid Braybrook. Spend enough time around Sid and you may find yourself involved in more than you expected and that certainly includes Kin. He has co-chaired several projects now and has taken on the role of Club treasurer ...

Membership Director - Gord Patterson (Kinsmen Club of Gladstone)

Once upon a time in a land far away lived a very shy, quiet boy. One day he grabbed an electric fence and that, as they say folks, is history.

Greetings, fellow Kin. Sid and Colleen, (as well as Kathy) have asked me for a biography of myself so you all know who or what I am. So allow me to start at the beginning. Oops, already did that in paragraph number two. Well, let me continue on from there!!

I have been a member of Kin since January 8, 1991. I joined the day after my 18th birthday. All my Kin years have been spent in the Kinsmen Club of Gladstone, although I have been adopted into the Estavan Club in District Three and the Clinton Club in District One. I have held all club executive positions. In 1996/97 and 1998/99, I served as Zone Five DG. In 96/97, I was the recipient of the Keith Large Outstanding DG award, as well as the National DG award. In 2000/01, I served as Governor and was honored to receive the Decew Shield as Outstanding Governor. This was the first year the award had been reverted to one governor receiving it instead of being open to everyone. In 2002-04, I served as Association Director for District Two. It was a tremendous ...
